About Us

Marlene Jobson - founder of Devonshire Manor

Our family has been providing care to the loved ones of Livingston County since 1982.

At Devonshire Manor our mission is who we are; we grew up as care givers. My mother Marlene Jobson was taught by her mother to care for the aging family members the same way she taught me. While growing up, my Great Grandmother, Grandma, aunts and uncles as they aged were cared for in our home by our family. In 1982 the house on Devonshire Boulevard was built and licensed as Devonshire Manor, a family group home. Over the next 11yrs, along with my 5 sisters, 3 brothers, and their growing families we shared our holidays and seasons with many loved and never forgotten foster Grandmas'.

Tamyra Rychilinski

During those years I ( Tamyra Rychlinski) had my children, took business management classes, and worked in customer service positions. I also worked at H&R Block, Old Kent Bank and then Citizens Insurance treasury department. I had always stayed close to the day to day business operations by doing the bookkeeping, payroll and taxes. I took my vacation from the hectic day job to spend a week with the ladies at Devonshire so my mother could take a vacation. When the day came and mom wanted to semi-retire and move back to Alpena (our home town), it didn't take long to answer after she asked me, "Would you like to buy Devonshire Manor?" Doing what I loved would be like vacation all the time, it would be a dream come true. After I purchased the home, our license number was changed to AF470066278 a family group home, owner occupied facility. I will not mislead you; as for owning my own business - no beach, no tan, no pina colada - caring for the ladies is wonderful and rewarding we love what we do for a living.

Mysti Rochowiak

My daughter Mysti Rochowiak, is now making a step up to a third generation owner, she has made the commitment to carry on our services to the community and be the next owner of Devonshire Manor. Mysti has 15 years of hands on care giving, and 30 years of exposure to our families business of care giving, she is currently the administrator of Devonshire Manor Inc. We made the transition from a family group home to a small group home about two and a half years ago. My husband Denny and I, currently live in the home next door. When the status of the home changed we were issued our new license number, State of Michigan DHS #AS 470391101.
